The fine flavoured cocoa we use for our Puerto Cabello Plantagen-Schokolade comes from the Barlovento region in Venezuela.

Cacao thrives especially well in this region. The cocoa produced here has a round flavour and is especially suited for our Puerto Cabello Plantagen-Schokolade.

We support the Puerto Cabello plantation in technical matters. In order for the plantation to earn more money on their fine flavoured cocoa we buy it directly from them.

Together with the Venezuelan Ministry of Agriculture and some local organisations we encourage smallholders to form cooperatives so that they can market their fine flavoured cocoa themselves.
